The villa was built in 2001 in a traditional, solid manner and is in very good condition.

The villa has all the installations that one expects in a home of this class. The (reversible) air conditioning systems ensure that there is always a pleasant temperature in the home.

All rooms have wide sliding doors with double glazing. Electric roll-down shutters not only close the house hermetically, but also keep it virtually “dust-free”. This gives a safe feeling when you are in the house and is also ideal when the holiday home is not used for a longer period of time.

All interior walls are plastered and are painted in warm tones, using the original chalk matte paints by Farrow & Ball.

All ceilings are plastered and are equipped with surface-mounted lighting fixtures from various suppliers. The hanging lamps installed in the stairwell and conservatory create a great atmosphere.

All bathrooms are tiled with tumbled tiles in various sizes and colours, creating a Mediterranean atmosphere there too. Custom-made mirrors with matching lighting complete the bathrooms.

At the time of purchasing the property, there were no detailed building plans available. We have asked our Dutch interior architect to measure the home and to make layout drawings. Based on these layout drawings, we have purchased the entire furniture in the Netherlands, and had it transported to Sainte-Maxime. This approach enabled us to enjoy a fully furnished holiday home that same summer. Furnishing the house step-by- step would have taken years. Moreover, in this way we were able to match all parts of the interior.

In the bedrooms you will find high-quality Boxspring beds from Pullman, combined with bedside tables from Rivièra Maison and IKEA. In the bedrooms there are French decorative curtains, which have been bought at the various markets in the area.

Villa Gentille is part of “Les Rives d’Azur”, a group of ten villas, all built around the turn of the century. All plots are about the same size and almost everywhere the same Neo Provencal building style has been applied. Every house is painted in its own pastel shade. Together they form one colourful and harmonious whole. The centre of Sainte-Maxime is only three kilometres away.

Les Rives d’Azur is embraced by the prestigious “Domaine de la Nartelle”. To reach the villas in Les Rives d’Azur, you can use the (recently renovated) roads of Domaine de la Nartelle.
